Your wild side

“Within every woman there is a wild and natural creature, a powerful force, filled with good instincts, passionate creativity, and ageless knowing.” Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Women Who Run With Wolves

Do you know what brings out your wild side? Is there anything you either need to tame or to express?

How you express your passionate, instinctual self is vital to your happiness. If you suppress it, you will grow numb.

Yet if you allow your quick, passionate and creative mind run wild when other humans are present, you can overpower and shut them down.

Sometimes you need to wait, to listen for the right time to express yourself so you are fully heard. And sometimes you might learn something if you hear them out and appreciate what they have to say. If anything, you will build better relationships.

A colleague of mine shared this acronym with me: WAIT, representing the words Why Am I Talking? Ask yourself this question in light of the outcome you are trying to achieve before you speak your amazing mind.

Then make sure every day you recharge your energy. Stand in the sun or the light of the moon and connect your wild, beautiful heart with nature and the universe. Again, practice listening. In the silence of the moment, your wild side will speak to you through your heart and you will know what you need to do.
