A Roof of Hope

“…here’s what I’ve decided: the very least you can do in your life is to figure out what you hope for. And the most you can do is live inside that hope. Not admire it from a distance but live right in it, under its roof. “ ~ words from the character Hallie in Animal Dreams by Barbara Kingsolver

I love the concept of living with our hope instead of holding it out for “someday.” Some people are even afraid to hope so they won’t face the possible disappointment or rejection. Yes, we live by action. Yet isn’t hope what fuels us through hard times, even disappointment and rejection?
I hear far too much fear-talk these days. And when we talk about hope, we are talking about what we are hoping others will do.
What about you? What will you do and talk about today that will give life to your hope? If we are the leaders people look to, then we have to raise the bar on hope. Share the hope that is the driving force in your life right now.
When it’s dark outside, hope has a chance to shine even brighter.
