Celebrate with me!
I just signed a contract with a major publisher to publish a book for high-achieving women based on my research and the Burden of Greatness.
I’ll share pieces of the pages with you as I go along. I know I’ll use some of these posts. Please comment whenever you feel the urge when share thoughts with you; I could use your insights.
Thank you for your support.

How wonderful, Marcia!
I’m so happy for you and for all of us who will benefit from the book!
Great!
Congratulations with the mile stone.
This is an exciting venture.
Thanks for sharing your news.

Julie
Congratulations! And there’s a question I’ve been meaning to ask you: do you find that pioneer women are women of a certain age range, or women who may be younger and yet are the first “career women” in their families?
Hi Gwyn,
My research says that the Pioneer women were born before 1955, give or take a few years. There are many first career women who are Wanderers instead of Pioneers, the focus of my research. Pioneers have a clear vision of what they want. They may become a Settler when they find a company that meets their needs. Wanderers tend to make their career decisions more on present needs than a long term vision. If they don’t like what is going on, they leave for the next opportunity. Their self-esteem is more solid and they trust they will land on their feet. However, these are based on personality characteristics more than on age so there will be exceptions to both archetypes.
Congrats! I just stumbled upon your blog. Very nice.
Who is your publisher?
Btw, if you have time, check out my blog.
