As usual, you struck a chord in me. I attend meetings in Recovery Inc and we follow a Dr. Low's philosophy which is mapped out in his book Mental Health through Will-training. (There are other books of his lectures as well). The tools for our mental health tell us that people do things THAT annoy us not necessarily TO annoy us. Also, we all experience frustrations on a daily basis and (paraphrasing) minimum expectations, minimum disappointments. With every situation we have a choice...to work it up or down. It has helped me cope with many of life's daily annoyances, if you will.
