I'm also blessed with many dear friends with whom I can share laughter, tears, ideas and fun. I am so grateful to have this incredibly supportive network, which I believe makes me the successful person I am today. Thanks for bringing this up - I think it is one of our strengths we tend to overlook.

Marcia, I would even go so far as to say our relationships are more important than our work. Our roles as trusted friend, partner, daughter, sister, mother...they are the only ones where we are truly irreplaceable. The work we do can be done by another...that's why there is a job description for it...so another can be found to take our place. I am blessed beyond measure to have a circle of women, men and children in my life with whom I share breathless laughter, deep sighs to let my sorrows escape and deep breaths to get through the next challenge. I am so grateful to you for writing about this so I would stop and be grateful for that.
